My new hostess is a 48 year old Portuguese African American hospital worker whose story of being down town on 911 was chilling. The air was acrid for weeks and she admits she's still a bit jumpy. I'm embarassed to admit this but one unexpected discovery of staying with black folks...there are few or no pictures of white folk.
